Have you guys read/heard about this book?? It’s written by some Desi chick from Harvard. She signed multi-million dollar contract to publish 2 books when she was 17. After her first novel is released…it turns out that she copied little parts from two different novels.
Now the publisher has taken the book off the shelves :(
I personally think that’s stupid and the book should still be for sale. Its not like she copied the whole freaking story?
What do you guys think? What if someone took a little part from lab work and made millions...remember just a little part and now the whole thing..

yes, oprah got into the James Frey thing.. and then took his case on live TV.... this was in Jan i think.. Mahn.. was that bad!
Opal Mehta is a painful thing for the author mahn... uska total career ka lag gaya..
But again.. int eh US.. wont it be a great story if she can come back with a kickass oprah-backed novel with 'learnings from failure' type theme!! I bet $50 that its goign to happen.

truth.. i watched Larry King when she made the call.. very very surprising!!!
She tore into him on the show a few weeks later though!! it was damn funny...
